Every sweets lover knows that once the contents have been unwrapped, the aluminium foil never returns to its original appearance. The same principle applies, for example, to mineral wool mats covered with aluminium foil (ALU). If such insulation is installed with the assumption that it will not need to be removed—for instance, during inspections—it performs and looks reasonably well. However, if it must be periodically dismantled, this solution unfortunately proves inadequate.
