Fellow technicians who recently reviewed our blog had one key remark about the photos illustrating their work. What did they mean? “Our job is not as clean as in the pictures!!!”

Production facilities have a wide range of working conditions. Different levels of dust are present, with particles suspended in the air and settling on walls and floors. Deposits very often appear on the installed covers. Sometimes it is light dust that can be simply wiped off by hand, and sometimes it is an oily residue that forms a thin layer on the cover and requires water and detergent to remove.
Such conditions are not limited to boiler rooms, where a dirty environment is expected. They also frequently occur on production halls, where particles from the manufacturing process are dispersed in the air. Our technician colleagues often still carry the smell of potato chips, chocolate, and similar products long after visiting such facilities. Other smells also occur, but we prefer not to go into details about those.

So, in the photographs attached to this post, you can see brand new SUM Guard covers, just installed on equipment used for producing animal feed mixtures.
