Who can guess which device is hidden under our insulation covers in the photo? Here’s a hint.

Machines, more precisely furnaces used for firing can lids and food cans.

For insulating the equipment, SUM Chemical Guard covers were used. Both the inner and outer jacket of the covers were made of fabric coated on one side with PTFE (Teflon).
Due to the prevailing conditions, specifically the operating temperature of the equipment, appropriate insulation thicknesses had to be selected. During the design process, ergonomics was also taken into account, ensuring the covers were adapted to the needs of the operators who would use them.
For maintenance personnel, the key requirement was that the covers should be easy to remove, install and transport. This is not a problem for us. The design and manufacturing of the thermal insulation covers are tailored to the daily operation and function of the insulated equipment.
