No one needs to be told how important the quality of a product or service is, or how strongly it influences a company’s image. Of course, this depends on an organisation’s philosophy and its approach to the customer, but if the goal is to build a brand and maintain long-term relationships, taking the easy route—meaning delivering anything as quickly as possible just for the sake of it—is not the best solution.
Every day, both professionally and privately, we all enter into customer–supplier relationships and make choices about whether we want to maintain them or end them as quickly as possible and forget they ever happened.
Everyone talks about quality in every possible context, but what does it actually look like in practice at SUM Poland?
We simply like being satisfied with the thermal covers we produce ourselves. In particular, after completing a demanding project, we make a point of checking after some time that the insulation systems are still performing correctly.
Every single cover manufactured by SUM Poland undergoes a detailed two-stage quality control process. It could be said that the quality controller takes on the responsibility for the work of every member of the team: from technical staff, through the design department, to production.
Does this level of detailed verification mean there are no complaints? We will not pretend otherwise or claim we have never had any, especially when working on prototypes.
We even inform the client in advance that, due to unusual operating conditions, some solutions are being applied for the first time, and we remain “on standby” until they confirm that everything is functioning correctly.
What matters is the approach to the issue and whether lessons are drawn from it. For us, what is also important—this should be emphasised again—is our own satisfaction with the thermal insulation covers that have been produced, installed, and meet all the customer’s requirements.
