Let us not forget an important aspect of insulation in the form of SUM Guard thermal insulation covers – their use improves employee safety and working comfort.
How does this happen?
Protection against burns
➡️ It protects employees from burns. Hot components are isolated from the surrounding environment, eliminating the risk of accidental contact burns. The appropriate selection of insulation thickness and type ensures that the surface temperature of the cover can be reduced to safe values required by the client and health and safety regulations, regardless of the operating parameters of the installation.

No sharp edges
➡️ The covers have no sharp edges, eliminating the risk of cuts during handling. They are designed for frequent installation and removal, and therefore must ensure safe use.
Safe materials
➡️ The materials used to manufacture the covers do not release dust, eliminating the risk of contamination of workers’ respiratory tracts, for example during installation or removal during maintenance work.
Noise reduction of up to 20 dB
➡️ SUM Guard covers reduce noise generated by insulated technical equipment such as compressors, pumps, steam valves, as well as ejectors and pipelines by up to 20 dB. Thanks to the use of a sound-absorbing material in the form of an acoustic mat, the covers significantly reduce the surrounding noise level.

Reduction of ambient temperature
➡️ SUM Guard technology improves working conditions by reducing ambient temperature. There is a noticeable reduction in heat emission into the production area. An example of this can be found in plastics processing plants, where insulating injection moulding machine heaters leads to a significant reduction in heat released into the production hall.
