Maximum diameter of an insulated pipeline

Water and steam installations in district heating networks are often of very large dimensions. What was the largest diameter of pipelines insulated with SUM Maintenance Guard thermal insulation covers? The nominal diameter (DN) of pipelines in a district heating chamber reached up to 1,200 mm!!!!!

How is it possible that, despite such a large diameter, our flexible covers remain securely in place on the pipe fittings?

The cover is a self-supporting structure – it does not require any stiffening ribs, brackets, or other auxiliary elements.

The cover must first of all be pre-shaped to match the insulated valve or fitting. In the case of a pipeline, the thermal insulation cover should take the form of a flexible cylinder, where the circumference of the inner fabric layer is appropriately smaller than that of the outer layer. This allows for easy installation and enables the cover to naturally self-adjust to the installation.
