Perfect complement to fixed insulation – SUM Guard covers for valve and filter heads

We have written and shown on several occasions how perfectly flexible insulation in the form of thermal covers complements fixed insulation. This is also the case here.
In a production facility, in an oil pumping station, we encountered – and we must admit this – very well-executed fixed insulation, alongside, as is often the case, exposed valve and filter heads. The reason is obvious: these are components of industrial fittings that must remain freely accessible, which means they cannot be enclosed in sheet metal cladding.
There were many such exposed, uninsulated sections of technical installations in this facility, as well as in pumping stations and boiler houses. A detailed inventory showed that these were significant quantities of fittings generating heat losses, which directly translates into measurable costs.

Is there still a plant in Poland that can afford such a lack of energy savings with today’s utility prices? Exactly.

For all types of valves, gate valves, flanged connections and more, where fixed insulation cannot be applied, SUM Guard covers are specifically designed.

One of the primary functions of our covers is the ability to be easily and quickly removed and reinstalled multiple times.
